In a bizarre collaboration that breaks usual forecasts, Ubisoft has revealed an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Adventure Disclosed

According to the formal statement, "A mysterious meeting draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where rumors of prohibited practices and terrifying metamorphoses echo through the obscurity." The storyline features a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a secret cult.

The mission focuses on "peculiar experiments and a terrifying adversary" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Familiar Settings and Transformations

The teaser highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser finishes with a dramatic moment showing a character, probably the captive, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Rewards and Extra Content

Players who finish the mission will acquire an special katana together with numerous artifacts hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

Latest Free Story Content

This update also brings the game's third free story content, titled "The Enigma."
