Fantastic $30 Cartography Software Bundle Is a Online Gaming GM's Dream

Following a brief run back in April, the Map Making Mega Bundle has returned with an encore that lasts through early December. Described as an extensive collection of mapping tools developed by a specialized software company throughout their history, the entire collection is valued at more than thirteen hundred dollars. And there are three different bundles available here.

Primary Feature

The standout feature is certainly a lifetime license for Campaign Cartographer 3+, an industry-standard cartography program that can be used to generate various types including epic fantasy landscapes, detailed regional charts, urban layouts, and, perhaps most importantly, dungeon and tabletop battle maps.

An imaginative landscape chart created using Campaign Cartographer 3+.

Package Levels

Entry Level

The most affordable option, at a minimum cost of $1, features merely four of the 39 total items: Fantasy Overland Symbol Collection, Monster Token Pack 1, Castle Source Maps, and Source Maps: Cities!. This package suits cartographers who already have CC3+, but it does offer fresh fantasy design elements for overworld maps, over seven hundred fifty creature tokens for use in virtual tabletops, over twenty-five top-down castle layouts including hundreds of map markers, eight fully mapped cities, plus seventy-plus building interiors.

Intermediate Package

The eight-product collection for at least $15 offers enhanced value by adding in a lifetime CC3+ license, the first Annual volume, Tome of Ultimate Mapping, Isometric Cities Symbol Pack. Cartographer's Annual is the yearly bundle from ProFantasy's ongoing subscription program featuring a variety CC3+ add-ons like map collections and additional utilities. The Isometric Cities enables display cities with an extra dimension using angled views from multiple angles. Meanwhile, the Mapping Tome comprises 760 pages for beginners and "power users" alike, packed with guidance and instructions for the map-making process.

Full Package

Starting at thirty dollars, the comprehensive package includes all the following:

  • Advanced Terrain Generator
  • Dungeon Designer 3
  • Urban Planning Software
  • Cosmographer 3
  • Perspectives 3
  • Scene Builder
  • Character Artist 3
  • Fantasy Interior Symbols
  • Symbol Set 3: Modern
  • Schley Dungeon Collection
  • Symbol Set 5: Cities of Schley
  • Token Treasury: Monsters 2
  • Religious Structure Maps
  • World War 2 Interactive Atlas
  • World Creation Guide
  • Cartographer’s Annual Vol 1-17
  • Permanent CC3+ Access
  • 3D City Symbols
  • Comprehensive Mapping Guide
  • Symbol Set 1: Fantasy Overland
  • Token Treasury: Monsters 1
  • Source Maps: Castles!
  • Source Maps: Cities!

All 17 volumes of Cartographer's Annual are included here, plus numerous other resource and asset packs that can help users design entire planets or galaxies, or focus exclusively on traditional fantasy world-building: battle maps, dungeons, cities, and continents in multiple viewpoints. You can even design character portraits. At thirty versus fifteen dollars, the full bundle is so worth it, particularly for mappers who have only the annual CC3+ license seeking permanent licensing. However, it's clearly an even better deal for map-making newbies since it includes the beginners' tutorials to facilitate learning. The one caveat here is that while you can redeem the deal across platforms, the software is only usable with Windows systems.

Charitable Component

Similar to previous bundles, part of every purchase goes to benefit a nonprofit. For this one, the beneficiary is Save the Children, established in 1919 by Eglantyne Jebb focused on improving the lives of children worldwide through education, health care, and emergency relief. The Bundle Filters option appear near the page top, though users may also choose any amount for a donation in the right-hand section. Additionally available is an donation allocation menu just below that, enabling adjustment of the distribution percentage goes to Humble, Profantasy, and Save the Children.
